With this capability, users will be able to select a select number of conversations and mark each as read/unread or mute/resume them.
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will let you select multiple chats at once. According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks news and updates related to the Meta-owned platform, which reported that the said feature is in development, the capability will be rolled out for a future WhatsApp Desktop Beta update.
To explain how this feature will work, WABetaInfo shared this screenshot:
As seen above, there is a “Select Chats” option in the chat menu. After tapping this option, you will be able to select a selected number of conversations and mark each one as read/unread or mute/unmute them. But it is not known what will be the maximum number of conversations that users will be able to choose.
It is also not known when this update will be released. As usual, it will also be made available to beta testers before the public rollout.
